Opening Times

  • 8:30am to 8:45am Monday - Thursday

  • During breaks

  • 3:00pm to 3:15pm Monday - Thursday

Our Teacher-Librarian, Mrs Tania Scott is assisted by our library aide, Mrs Sharon Clark.

We have a wide variety of resources for loan including picture books and fiction and non-fiction books. We also have resources used by staff to teach our students including big books, posters, chart kits, DVDs, and technological equipment.

There is also a computer lab with a projector in the library that is used by students at break times and by classes during learning time.

Library Monitors

We have a number of students in years 4 to 6 who volunteer during break times to assist in the library. Students must show a history of responsible behaviour to be considered for library monitor positions. Students who applied unsuccessfully in Semester 1 due to lack of positions on the roster will be given a chance to be library monitors in Semester 2 when the new roster is drawn up.

Break Times

The library is open during break times to all students. During break times students may borrow, catch up on classwork, use the computers for work or leisure, do construction activities and puzzles, or play games like chess, dominoes and naughts and crosses.

During the year we are involved in a number of school events. Book Week and the Book Fair are in August and are our largest events. In Semester 2 we also have our annual chess tournament.
