Tuckshop is open Wednesday - Friday 8:15am -1:30pm for first break and second break and is staffed by volunteers and a paid convenor. EFTPOS is now available for tuckshop purchases.
The tuckshop’s menu is based on Education Queensland’s Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland State Schools, which is now mandatory.
We have recently updated our menu however suggestions are welcome, especially for people with special dietary needs e.g. gluten free.

Volunteers
The tuckshop relies on volunteers to prepare the food and serve the children. It is a brilliant way of meeting other parents, staff and children and generally keeping up with what’s happening around the school.
You can volunteer for:
•first break (until 11.45 am), which is the busiest time
•a short time to do a small job such as cutting salad items
Please contact the tuckshop convenor Janet Williams if you would like to volunteer. You can reach Janet at the tuckshop (07) 54663314 or email the P&C on pandc@gattonss.eq.edu.au.
Ordering your child’s lunch
* All hot and freshly prepared food orders for all year levels must be made through the baskets in your classrooms or directly at the tuckshop prior to 9.00am. Snacks and drinks are still available to be purchased over the counter at both breaks.
* Use individual brown paper bags.
* Separate bags for each child
* Ensure that bags are large enough to hold food items (No envelopes please).
* Where possible, enclose correct money in each bag.
* If you do not have the correct money, note this on your order and the change will be taped to your child’s bag.
* If you are unable to supply a brown paper bag, please enclose an extra 10c for each bag required.
* Write your child’s name, class, order and total amount on each bag.
* Indicate whether the order is for first break or second break on each bag.
* An example of our pre-ordering system is shown on the tuckshop menu.
